LOCAL CADET AT WEST POINT - April 25, 2007
WEST POINT, N.Y. - Cadet Timothy Clarke, son of Stephen Clarke and Patricia Robb of Cedar Falls, was selected to participate in the Study Abroad Program at the U.S. Military Academy.
Clarke is spending a semester in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He and seven other cadets will be living with Brazilian families and taking classes full-time at Pontifical Catholic University. The semester will end in July, at which time Clarke will return to West Point to his regular duties and classes. He is also a member of the Chain of Command as Honor Representative for Cadet Company E-2.
Clarke graduated from Columbus High School in 2004. He is majoring in Portuguese and plans to graduate from West Point in 2008. Upon graduation, he will be commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
The mission of the U.S. Military Academy is to educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country and prepared for a career of professional excellence and service to the Nation as an officer in the United States Army.
